2021年10月31日時点で、8.9kmに及ぶセブのコルドバ高速道路（CCLEX）プロジェクトの建設進捗率は87.14%となりました。
この300億円規模の有料道路は2021年末までに完成する予定で、2022年第1四半期の開通時にはETCシステムを採用し、ドライバーに安全でシームレスな旅が提供されるようになります。
これに伴い、セブ・コルドバ・リンク高速道路社（CCLEC）は、CCLEXを通過するために必要となるRFID（無線自動識別）ステッカーの設置に関するオンライン登録をすでに開始しています。
今回の工事では、セブ市とコルドバ市を結ぶCCLEXのメインブリッジデッキが完成しました。現在、作業はデッキの安全バリアーの建設に移っています。また、200mの歩行者用歩道橋も完成しています。
CCLEXは、コルドバ・ミュニシパリティからセブ市のサウス・ロード・プロパティーを経由してセブ本土に至るマクタン島への第3の接続となるもので、設計速度は時速80km、大型船舶が橋の下を通過できるように航行許可または高さが51mとなっています。
CCLEXは、交通量を減らして移動を便利にするだけでなく、貿易活動を活発にして、セブ島やその他のビサヤ地域に大きな経済的なメリットをもたらすと考えられています。
Cebu-Cordova bridge 87% complete
AS OF October 31, 2021, the construction progress of the 8.9-kilometer Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) project was at 87.14 percent.
The P30-billion toll bridge, which will be substantially completed by end of 2021, will use an all-electronic toll collection system when it opens in the first quarter of 2022 to provide motorists safe and seamless travel.
With this, the Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corporation (CCLEC) has already started the online registration for the installation of RFID (radio-frequency identification) stickers, which motorists will need in order to pass CCLEX.
Topping the construction accomplishment is the completion of the CCLEX main bridge deck that connects Cebu City and Municipality of Cordova. Works have now moved to the construction of the deck’s safety barrier.
Earlier, we have also finished the installation of all 56 stay cables holding the main bridge deck as well as the installation of all 434 NU (Nebraska University) girders required for the entire stretch of the project. Also completed is the 200-meter pedestrian footbridge.
CCLEX, which will be the third link to Mactan Island from Cordova Municipality to mainland Cebu through Cebu City’s South Road Properties, has a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour (kph) and a navigational clearance or height of 51 meters to allow large vessels to pass underneath the bridge.
Not only is CCLEX seen to reduce traffic and make traveling more convenient but also spur trade activities and open greater economic opportunities for Cebu and the rest of the Visayas region.
