Explore Boljoon Cebu, Philippines
My goals in life is to live, love, teach, and travel. To communicate with people from different countries, it is essential for us to speak the English language. Do you know how powerful this language is? I have been teaching English for a decade. Many of my Asian friends (from Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, South Korea, Malaysia,& China) are striving their best to master their fluency in English. In the Philippines, the English language is our 2nd language next to Tagalog which is our official language. In addition to that, I speak Cebuano as well. It is a dialect in Cebu. People who were born in the Visayas region speak it.
In this blog, let me show you my parents’ hometown. To travel in my country is absolutely fun and mesmerizing. Filipinos are naturally hospitable and friendly. If you are a foreigner, of course, English is vital for you to communicate with the locals. And if you want to be more friendly, learning a little a bit of our language is much appreciated.
Boljoon, officially the Municipality of Boljoon, is a 5th class municipality in the province of Cebu, Philippines. My parents were born in this province. However, in my case I was born in Cebu City. They moved to the city when they got married.
Boljoon (name pronounced as “bol-who-on”) is located around 100 kilometers south of Cebu City. It’s a pretty little town in Cebu’s southern coast and has one of Cebu’s most famous churches. Out of excitement, my friend from Tokyo has travelled to this place with me. Fortunately, my friend enjoyed roaming around my hometown.
For globetrotters who wish to explore the Philippines, don’t hesitate to come here and explore picturesque view of nature and make new friends across the globe. ♥ ♥ ♥
私の人生の目標は、生きて、愛して、教えて、そして旅をすることです。 さまざまな国の人々とコミュニケーションをとるには、英語を話すことが不可欠です。 この英語という言語がどれほど強力なものか知っていますか？ 私は10年間英語を教えています。 私のアジアの友人の多く（日本、タイ、台湾、ベトナム、韓国、マレーシア、中国）は、英語の流暢に話すために努力をされています。 フィリピンでは、公用語であるタガログ語に次ぐ第二言語が英語です。 それに加えて、私はセブアノ語（セブの方言）という言語も話します。 ヴィサヤ地方で生まれた人てちはみんなセブアノ語を話します。
この投稿では、私の両親の故郷を紹介します。 フィリピンを旅することは楽しいし魅惑的だといい切れます。 フィリピン人は自然に対して親切かつフレンドリーです。 もちろん、外国人の方は地元の人とコミュニケーションをとるために英語が欠かせません。 そして、もっと親しみやすくなりたいのなら、私たちの言語を少し学んでいただけれ嬉しいです。
正式にはボルジュンの自治体であるボルジュンは、フィリピンのセブ州にある5番目の自治体です。 私の両親はこの州で生まれました。 私はセブ市の生まれです。 彼らは結婚したときにセブ市に引っ越しました。
ボルジュンは、セブ市の南約100キロに位置しています。 セブの南海岸にあるかわいらしい町で、セブで最も有名な教会の1つがあります。 東京から来た私の友人と一緒に、この場所に旅行しました。 幸いなことに、私の友人は、私の故郷を旅することを楽しんでいました。
