“The Philippine traditional bread which I loved the most”
The history of bread and pastry in the Philippines started with the European discoverers and colonizers. They presented enclosed stoves or ovens to the natives.
Bread has been known as an important part of most Filipinos breakfast meal.
There are many kinds of bread to choose from. However, one bread stands out, and it is known as the, “pandesal”
“Pandesal’s soft and airy flour roll is as close as it comes to a national dish” as stated in a research here in the Philippines.Regardless of people’s societal status whether rich or poor, this bread is eaten or consumed everyday.
Moreover, I want to be honest, as I am one of these people, I am as well as an avid- fan of “pandesal”. Many bakeshops are actually selling this historic type of bread. However, of course, I have my favorite bakery, which sells the best pandesal, and this is the “Pan de Manila” bakeshop.
I like their pandesal so much as it is hot when served and it really has an amazing smell, which can really boost someone’s appetite.
