Italian Pasta Filipino spaghetti
Spaghetti. Perhaps one of the most popular pasta types in the world, and my most favorite food. Are you into pasta? Most Filipinos enjoy sweet style pasta. Spaghetti in the Philippines became a very special dish. We usually prepare it during special occasions such as birthday parties.
Did you know? Filipino spaghetti is a Filipino adaptation of Italian spaghetti with Bolognese sauce. It has a uniquely sweet sauce, usually made from tomato sauce and sweetened with banana ketchup. Banana ketchup? Definitely, yes. Without a mistake we simply put a lot of banana ketchup when we cook it.
And many foreign students’ of mine in the past asked me why Filipino pasta was sweet. Filipinos usually topped it with sliced hotdogs or sausages, ground meat, and grated cheese. It is regarded as a comfort food in the Philippine cuisine and it is also typically served on almost any special occasion, especially on children’s birthdays. For me, I basically can’t live without pasta. I always order and ask my family to have it on my special day.
In the Philippines, if you are not fond of cooking then you can buy spaghetti at any fast food restaurants like Jollibee, KFC, Greenwich, and McDonalds. Personally, I prefer to eat in Jollibee. Their pasta is sweet. And I guess most kids in the Philippines are crazy about Jollibee spaghetti. We truly love it!

そして、今までの私の多くの学生さんたちは、なぜフィリピンスタイルのパスタがこんなに甘いのか？と私に尋ねることがよくありました。 フィリピン人はいつも、スライスしたホットドッグまたはソーセージ、ひき肉、粉チーズをトッピングします。 フィリピン料理のなかでも美味しい料理とされていて、ほとんどすべての特別なお祝い事、特に子供の誕生日に提供されます。 私はパスタなしでは生きられません。 私はいつも家族に注文して、特別な日にそれを持ってもらうように頼んでいます。
フィリピンでは、ジョリビー、KFC、グリニッジ、マクドナルドなどのファーストフード店でスパゲッティを購入できます。 個人的には、ジョリビーで食べるのが好きです。 味付けが甘いからですねす。 そして、フィリピンのほとんどの子供たちはジョリビースパゲッティに夢中だと思います。 私たちは本当に大好きなんです！
